MG has launched its small electric vehicle, the Comet EV, in India with an introductory price of Rs. 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Comet is positioned below the ZS EV in the company's electric range and was unveiled last week.

It features an illuminated MG logo that doubles as a charging flap, LED lights, and 12-inch steel wheels with wheel covers.

Inside, it boasts a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and 50:50 split rear seats.

The vehicle is equipped with safety features such as dual airbags and rear parking sensors.

The Comet EV has a range of 230km on a single charge and takes seven hours to charge via the 3.3kW unit.
