According to a report from cnevpost, the first production unit of the highly anticipated G6 electric SUV has already been completed, set to be delivered to customers this quarter. The initial image of the G6 showcases a vibrant orange mid-sized SUV, identical to the vehicle unveiled at the Shanghai auto show just a month ago.
Xpeng has introduced several groundbreaking production techniques for the new G6, including a die-casted front and rear integrated aluminum body, as well as innovative battery packaging. The battery pack is seamlessly integrated into the vehicle using cell-integrated body technology, optimizing interior cabin space management.
As an exclusively electric vehicle brand in China, Xpeng has gained popularity in recent years by introducing its remarkable EVs to European markets. Given that the G6 is a newly mass-produced model, it is highly likely to make its way to multiple markets, including Europe and others.
The G6 SUV boasts Xpeng’s latest 800 Volts EV architecture, offering an impressive feature: the ability to add up to 300 km of range in approximately 10 minutes with the right charging infrastructure. This notable characteristic emphasizes the G6’s swift appearance and its ability to charge rapidly.
The single-motor models of the Xpeng G6 can generate up to 218 kW of power, while the dual-motor high-performance variant boasts an impressive 368 kW. These models will be powered by CALB batteries, manufactured in-house at Xpeng’s factory.
With an expected starting price of $A43,450 and a range that goes up to $A65,170, the G6 presents a range of options to suit different preferences. Deliveries are scheduled to commence before the end of June, offering customers the opportunity to experience the sleek and innovative G6 firsthand.
