Citroen ëC3 Electric
We already informed you that the Citroen C3-based EV would be released in India before March 2023.
The all-electric eC3, like the standard C3, is expected to be positioned as a luxury hatchback. In fact, we’ve already seen many spy photographs of the EV, most recently last month, when it was discovered charging at a charging station in Pune, Maharashtra. While the car was not camouflaged, the shot only revealed the back area of the Citroen C3 Electric, which appeared to be quite identical to the petrol-powered C3.
There is currently no information on the EV’s technical characteristics, and we feel it is too early to predict. However, we estimate the Citroen C3 Electric to be one of the most cheap EVs on the market, sitting just below the Tata Nexon EV but above the Tiago EV. Ideally, the vehicle will compete with the planned Tata Punch EV.
Upcoming EV Price
Earlier in November 2022, the eC3 was photographed charging at a charging point near Pune, Maharashtra.
The Tata Tiago EV is now the most cheapest electric passenger car in India, with prices starting at Rs. 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Given that the C3 is a larger vehicle, we expect it to be more expensive, with prices starting around Rs. 10-12 lakh.
Citroen is a French vehicle manufacturer. André Citroen created the “Automobiles Citroen” manufacturing firm in March 1919. Citroen has been owned by Stellantis since 2021 and was formerly part of the PSA Group when Peugeot purchased an 89.95% stake in 1976.
Citroen quickly became recognised for its revolutionary technology, owing to Traction Avant. This Citroen automobile was the world’s first mass-produced front-wheel drive vehicle. It was also the first vehicle to have a unitary body and no chassis to support the mechanical components.
